imageSalam alaikom , from Tahir Square in Cairo , its seems to be quiet this morning on the streets . I reckon they have either arrested quite a few of the ring leaders or they are taking a rest for next phase of protests , probably the latter .
Yesterday we got to visit the famous Cairo Egyptian Museum , which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period . We can see the the Museum from our hotel , its only a 5 minutes walk , but had to take a taxi , of 15 mins due to the Tahir square blockade . Well worth the visit ,an amazing collection over 250,000 pieces, especially the Carter discovery alone discovered in the 1920,s . This was enclosed in a tomb for over 3500 years before discovery .

This country has a rich history , I do hope they can sort their domestic issues .We arrived at the Museum at 11am , luckily , as at 2pm we were asked to leave , as they were closing , under police orders ,security alert again at Tahir Square .

All for now , checking the local restaurant scene today and tomorrow GIZA……Ma”as salaama
